We love our volunteers! Whether you volunteer by offering administrative assistance, fundraising, supporting special events, or by serving on our Advisory Council, you are providing individuals, couples and families the opportunity to get a fresh start as they transition through separation or divorce.

Two specific ways you can help are by volunteering in a special capacity as a WayMaker or becoming a PathFinder donor.

From fundraising, administrative support, event planning, or providing emotional companionship for those going through divorce, your gift of time will help us fulfill our mission.

Help a family get a fresh start

Two Ways

WayMakers

Many families throughout the process of divorce find themselves in need of help to create a new path and rebuild their lives. Our WayMakers are special volunteers who work directly with our families and provide hands-on support in some of the most rewarding ways:

Locate, move or settle into new housing;
Make repairs around the home or prepare to sell the family home;
Provide resources for emergency needs;
Make meals or bring gifts that let a family know they are remembered;
Attend court hearings as a comforting companion;
Act as a prayer warrior and listening ear

PathFinders

The average costs for a person to successfully achieve legal independence after separation or divorce is approximately $15,000.00.* As a Starting Point PathFinder, your commitment sponsors a family in need with the goal of keeping them from falling into poverty because they will have the legal, emotional and financial guidance they couldn’t otherwise afford - a statistic that captures nearly 44% of all women and children following separation or divorce. This exclusive funding level provides donors the opportunity to join our Advisory Committee, receive recognition in our Annual Report, and free tickets to our events. * This amount does not include costs associated with basic living expenses, childcare, food or medical needs *
